Earn While You Learn: Your Path to a Skilled Manufacturing Career

Plenty of people are ready to work hard but get turned away because they don't have experience or training. Wells Academy was created to change that. Since 2005, this 501(c)(3) educational program has opened the door to skilled manufacturing careers for disadvantaged Native American applicants who are looking for positive life change.

At Wells Academy, students are paid while they train. Over one year, or 2,000 hours, they follow a state-approved CNC manufacturing curriculum and get individualized on-the-job training and mentoring. They also learn life skills that support healthy living in our communities. The program ends with a Journeyworker certification from the State of Minnesota, a credential that shows they're ready for a skilled job.

We're accepting applications now through December 31, 2026. To apply, fill out the information form under "Our Programs" at wellstechacademy.org. Our goal is simple: strengthen communities by providing training and real jobs. Your new career could start here.
