Now Accepting Applicants

Wells Academy is now accepting applications through December 31, 2026. Andy Wells, CEO and Founder of Wells Technology, founded the academy in 2005. It's a 501(c)(3) educational program that helps people build a new career even if they have no manufacturing experience.

Students are paid while they train. Over one year, or 2,000 hours, they follow a state-approved CNC manufacturing curriculum, get individualized on-the-job training and mentoring, and learn the life skills that support healthy living in our communities. The program ends with a Journeyworker certification from the State of Minnesota. In Andy's words, "Our goal is to strengthen communities by providing training and jobs to otherwise unqualified employee applicants."

Who should apply: Native American applicants who want positive life change and a skilled manufacturing career, especially those who have been held back by a lack of experience or training.
